dc.description.abstract | A college athlete has the unique opportunity to both play their sport at a competitive level, while at the same time balancing the work that goes into earning their degree. College athletes that graduate, as compared to their non-athlete counterparts, experience more positive long-term outcomes and because of this, Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey has placed emphasis on this for their student athletes. The purpose of this project is to explore the programmatic strategies used by the Rutgers University Football Academic Support Staff, which lead to student athlete GPAs to increase from 2004-2019. | en |
