The U.S. Travel Association is calling on the CDC and Congress to lift the Conditional Sailing Order and to allow cruises to begin travel at a phased-in approach. However, the CDC has just announced that cruises between Alaska can begin to resume this summer, if 95% of passengers and 98% of staff are vaccinated and can show proof of vaccination. Carnival has announced that all guests must show proof of vaccination to sail on their ships this summer. Norwegian has not take the same approach, but have begun accepting bookings for their Alaskan cruises in August.
