    Abstract
This presentation provides a brief overview of the research proposal for conservation agriculture (CA) in the Andean Region (LTRA-7). The researchers will be evaluating farming practices in Bolivar, Ecuador and Tiraque, Bolivia. Research will examine soil quality, nutrient availability, and cost-effective solutions. The objective is to measure the effect of CA practices on productivity, environmental conditions, and nutrient retention while considering profitability and gender issues. In order to address these problems, this group will identify ways to make the adoption of soil management alternatives easier and less costly for farmers in the Andean Region.
