Virginia Tech’s Open Access Subvention Fund FY 2015 Report

The VT OASF was allocated $50,000 in FY2015 from the Libraries' Collections budget. The OASF received 88 requests to fund publishers' article processing charges totaling $129,967. We approved 48 articles (55%), awarding $49,711 to cover $ $59,393 of the publishers' charges. The awards averaged $1,035.65, ranging from $148.50 to our maximum, $1500. The OASF approved 38% of the total requests to cover the publishers' charges.
