dc.description.abstract | Hoteliers are hopeful the increased vaccine rollout and the potential passing of the Biden Administration's stimulus package could supply much needed relief for the hotel industry. Chip Rogers, President & CEO of AHLA, noted that 4 million leisure and tourism jobs have been lost since April of 2020. Additionally, Rogers noted that the pandemic has wiped out 10 years of increased job growth for the hotel industry. Although the industry remains hopeful, the realization that 18,000 hotel related jobs were lost in January is still the unfortunate reality. | en |
