dc.description.abstract | A national survey conducted on behalf of the American Hotel & Lodging Association detailed that support for the newly introduced Save Hotel Jobs Act is extremely bi-partisan. Roughly 71% of the U.S. population support targeted relief to the hotel industry. Although domestic leisure travel continues to be a bright spot of the industry, the industry cannot survive without group or business travel. Hotels are currently on track to end 2021 without 500,000 jobs that were previously held by employees before the COVID-19 pandemic. Targeted relief can help restore and save the hotel industry. | en |
