R's latest analysis of the impact of the western wild fires on the hotel industry further complicates the occupancy data amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Several hotels impacted are either in the process of setting re-opening dates or completely damaged. Occupancy numbers are all over the charts for areas with natural disasters (hurricane hit cities too) being that hotels have been used to displace those who are impacted and needing additional shelter relief.en
