According to the American Hotel & Lodging Association's first State of the Industry report, the COVID-19 pandemic eliminated 10 years of job growth for the hotel industry. It was noted that more than 670,000 hotel industry jobs were cut, while 4 million hospitality related positions were also eliminated due to the economic devastation of the COVID-19 pandemic. Although the industry is planning to add more positions moving into 2021, it will hardly make up for the jobs that were lost.en
