Visit Indy is gearing up for a strong decade after booking $50 million in business over the next 10 years. Bookings have heavily increased after the spotlight the NCAA March Madness Tournament shined on the city and the $7 million health and safety upgrades to the convention center. Prior to the pandemic, convention and business tourism employed over 80,000 people and generated $5.6 billion annually. Visit Indy CEO, Chris Gahl, is hopeful to get back to the 2019 truism levels and that the city of Indianapolis will continue to climb the ranks of convention cities across the United States.en
