Art Crimes

Abstract

The Art History course, Art Crimes (ART 4384/5384), explores the intersection of true crime and art by looking at forensic, legal, and ethical problems in the art world through the lens of art crimes. Each student in the class focused on researching a specific area of art crime. They produced a research project, either a paper or their own true crime “Art Crime podcast” about a topic they investigated. These posters reflect the variety of art crime topics, hoping they bring greater attention to the loss of cultural heritage worldwide.
