Although the CDC is comfortable publishing guidelines surrounding the restriction of the mask mandates for vaccinated Americans and the usage of the honor system for those guidelines, international travel official are not. U.S. bound international travelers will still need to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test before boarding flights. This has lead to the further developing conversations around a digital health passport for travelers. While international countries and airlines have partnered with technology groups, the Biden Administration is leaving the generation of health passports up to the private sector to decide. United, Delta, and American will encourage all travelers to upload health documents to their apps and online portals before travel. However, the a streamlined app across the United States does not seem to be a future possibility as many states are in the process of banning vaccination confirmation as requirements to receive service.en
