Postwar: Global Shadows of the Second World War (2016)

World War II cut short the lives of tens of millions of civilians and soldiers. A great many of the fathers, siblings, children, and mothers left to pick up the shards of these shattered lives had been themselves displaced by the conflict. This exhibit highlights a few of the myriad challenges of restoration and rehabilitation in the immediate aftermath of a war that continues to underwrite our global order, some seven decades later. 2016/12/06 - 2017/02/10
