| dc.description.abstract | Agriculture is a huge part of the history and modern economy of Northampton County, still many children and adults are not able to identify seeds harvested from agricultural crops. As a educational craft for the Northampton Agricultural Fair VCE exhibit. Youth were able to make seed art out of corn, sorghum, wheat and soybeans, while they learned about the crops products. 88 youth made bottles filled with seeds and decorated with 4-H stickers. | en |
| dc.description.notes | My role was to research and present children activities to the Event Administrators. I also secured the location and the County Government support of the event. I organized the Southwest Mobile Dairy Classroom Trailer visit as a way of advertising the event. I contacted and negotiated a contract with a petting zoo vendor. I created and distributed flyers with a coupon for youth activities at the fair. The day of the event I ran an activity station about Eastern Shore crops. | en |
