Pandemic hits diversity

Not only has the COVID-19 pandemic ripped havoc on the breakdown of the hospitality industry, but it has left minority employees out of a job, or put on reduced hours, at a higher rate than white employees. Unfortunately, this comes at a time when the hospitality industry is trying to survive the brunt of the economic impact the pandemic has had on the industry. Large corporations are vowing to build back "better" than before as the hospitality industry works to get itself back to pre-pandemic success.
