dc.description.abstractAirbnb continues to project positive business forecasts heading into the summer travel months. However, Bookings.com and Expedia are quickly on their heels and ready to increase their U.S. footprint. Short-term rentals, specifically Airbnb, will be better positioned than hotels, until group and business travel recovery within the United States. Although short-term rentals are increasingly popular, regulations could be the downfall, much like they currently are in New York and San Francisco. Bookings.com and Expedia continue to do better comparatively than Airbnb within the stock market.en
