dc.description.abstractLeaders from AHLA, AAHOA, and U.S. Travel voice support for the newly enacted American Rescue Plan. However, they understand there is still a severe amount of work that needs to be done to get hotel and travel to get the nearly 500,000 employees, who lost their jobs due to the pandemic, their roles back. The hotel and travel industries will now shift their efforts towards lobbying Congress to extend the Paycheck Protection Program. When the travel and hospitality industry is able to recovery, the economy will in turn be able to recover.en
