Transport of muonic deuterium atoms in a slab of thickness d filled with a molecular deuterium gas is described by means of the multiple-collision expansion in the framework of a time-dependent theory. The relevant expressions for the emerging flux are derived. Numerically generated results are presented for several different cases, some of which are under experimental investigation. A justification of the approximations made in a previous work is given.en
