Abstract
Although public transportation, busses, planes, and trains will continue requiring passengers wear masks, many hotels will no longer require the usage of masks in public spaces. Following the CDC's recent guidelines surrounding not needing to wear a mask if you have been vaccinated, AHLA has passed the decision to make the final call regarding masks to it's members. Marriott, Hyatt, and IHG have all lifted their mask mandates. Hilton, Wyndham, Accor, and Loews have not changed their mask mandates. Employees across all hotel brands are still required to wear masks. The hotel industry has also stated that guests who are vaccinated who choose to not wear masks ill be doing so based off the honor system. If a guest has not been vaccinated, they should continue wearing a mask while in public spaces.
