A Promenade for Isolation

Abstract

This building emerges as a solitary work from obscurity. Its form is a composition of disjointed rooms connected by common themes: frontality, obscurity, artifice, and seclusion.In the first part, the plan appears as a map of a promenade which is the main ordering device of the building structure.In the second part, the internal spaces are presented as isolated from each other as is the building from any external reference.In the sections, which constitute the third part, the building appears as layered facades emerging from planes of strata.
