This project presents problems to be solved by a BIS, a conceptual design, requirements generated for a BIS, then subsequently a life-cycle cost analysis and a preliminary design. The design utilizes commercial-off-the-shelf hardware and software components to promote compliance to industry standards, ease-of-use, reliability, and flexibility.
