Logic for an adaptive reclosing relay has been developed. The relay works correctly in a wide number of fault cases. The relay has the following distinguishing characteristics : (a) Reclosing into a three phase fault is avoided under all circumstances. (b) The logic is applicable only for circuit breakers which. have reclosing on individual phases. (c) The relay works correctly in the case of both (shunt) compensated and uncompensated lines.en
