Abstract

In this study four different feedforward control models were derived in order to hold overhead composition fixed. This task was performed by literature review on distillation dynamics and simulation, and automatic control system applications. A theoretical analysis of feedback control compared to feedforward also has led to a better understanding of working principles of feedforward control.

On the basis of derived models correspondent feedforward controllers were constructed using as hardware elements of electron analog computer. Each particular feedforward controller was embodied in a primary control loop which was supplementary to the whole existing arrangement of secondary loops.

The efficiency of proposed feedforward models was checked by step transfer response analysis in ten different experiments.

Good effect of devised feedforward control models was shown on the basis of performed experiments.
