Formal analysis of a five-element psychophysiological structure was performed using an interval bisection task. Within a ten second interval, records were obtained of lateral eye movements and the bisection response on each of ten trials. The formal analysis indicated that: 1. The variables of specification and variation express interrelational structure, and can be extended to include subminor relations. The interrelational values were shown to be independent of the placement of individual events. 2. Separate, replicable processes of specification and variation, independent of changes in placement of any single event in the event structure were demonstrated. 3. An overall interrelational process can be described in this situation.en
