Abstract
An investigation of mean rotor blade surface pressures was conducted over a range of operating conditions. The pressures were measured at three span positions and five chord positions on both auction and pressure sides.
A theoretical approach for obtaining pressure distributions on the rotor blade using simple radial equilibrium, boundary layer theory and an existing finite-difference, blade-to-blade computer program is presented.
A comparison of the experimental and theoretical pressure distribution on the rotor blade at 25 percent, 50 percent and 75 percent span is included.
The comparison of experimental and theoretical pressure distribution showed, in general, good agreement.
