The edge of the Potomac river at Founder's Park in Old Town Alexandria provides a site where visitors can acknowledge the river and the city. A transitional zone has been developed here through the exploration of dualities. The concept of water meeting land is translated in the fragmentation and juxtaposition of architectural and landscape elements on the site.en
