Abstract
Leadership development programs are a recognized way to increase an individual’s capacity to address unforeseen problems, initiate change, or effectively engage in the process of leading others. These programs are critical to the success of Extension faculty and staff who provide leadership at the local level with regards to developing and implementing programs, managing budgets, addressing stakeholders needs, attending to policy, and serving as the link between Extension agents, the community and upper levels of Extension administration. The session utilizes the International Leadership Association’s guiding questions to discuss a blended extension leadership program’s conceptual framework, context, teaching/learning, and assessment practices.
