The nature of this hierarchical progression in design can be described as a triadic composition, where this composition has a relationship between one component to the next as a simultaneous progression. The first component plays a major role to the intermediate component, and the intermediate one plays a role to the last component, and finally the last component plays a major role to the first forming the triad. This can be applied into an operational mode of making or designing something. This tool for design studies helps to observe compositions, functional applications, and theoretical constructs. One example is on the structural level. It is critical to utilize systems and subsystems as they relate to the entire project.en
