This lightning round presentation introduces and applies thinking from the discipline of economics as an explanatory tool for understanding human behavior experienced by advocates of open education and open educational resource (OER) initiatives. This brief talk is, overall, aimed to reinforce the value of knowing and understanding one's audience when designing programs and outreach activities. An additional "persona" worksheet is also available.
